Frequently Asked Questions
GoPoxy cures to a durable solid finish and is resistant to shrinkage and cracking when installed correctly.
It is designed for tiled installations where the substrate has been correctly prepared and movement is within normal tolerances.
It is not intended to replace silicone or movement joints where movement is expected.
We recommend allowing the material to cure for 8–12 hours, depending on temperature, so it can fully harden. This ensures a much cleaner and faster removal of any excess from the tile surface.
Use our Coverage Calculator to help you estimate the quantity required for your specific project.
The amount requires depends on the size of the tiles, the width and depth of the grout joints, and the area to be covered.
GoPoxy is designed for interior use only unless explicitly stated on the product listing.
GoPoxy can last for decades without the need for replacement, when applied correctly.
Its epoxy formulation ensures it is fully waterproof, anti-crack and anti-staining -making it a long-lasting solution for any tiling project.
GoPoxy can be used with many natural stone tiles, but the stone must be fully sealed before installation.
Ensure the stone is sealed until it repels water before applying GoPoxy Priming Wax and GoPoxy grout. If this step is skipped, the wax or grout may absorb into the stone and cause staining.
If you’re unsure whether the stone is properly sealed, we recommend testing a small area first.
GoPoxy products are not recommended for use with highly porous natural stone like sandstone or limestone.

No. Existing grout should be removed prior to applying GoPoxy. Always use suitable personal protective equipment.
If the tile is porous, or you are using a contrasting colour of grout, it is recommended to tape the face of the tile to remove the excess easily.
If you are using a gloss finish tile, you should be able to apply straight into the tile joint without taping.
In the unlikely event that there is residue left over on the face of the tile, you can use a heatgun to gently soften and remove the material if needed.
Natural stone that is highly porous should be sealed until it fully repels water before GoPoxy is applied. GoPoxy products are not recommended for use on highly porous natural stone like sandstone or limestone.
If you wish to remove GoPoxy, apply heat using a heat-gun and remove with a plastic scraper or utility knife.
Always wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment including hand and eye protection.
GoPoxy cannot be used in areas where surface temperatures exceed 60 degrees celcius.
GoPoxy is suitable for underfloor heating as temperatures usually do not exceed 45 degrees.
