How to Use GoPoxy Polyurea Grout
Preparation:
✔ Ensure tile joints are clean, dry, and free of dust or adhesive.
✔ Apply GoPoxy Priming Wax or masking tape to the tile surface to aid in cleanup.
✔ Always test on a small area to confirm compatibility and desired finish.
✔ Warm the tubes in hot water for 10-15 minutes prior to use. This allows the 2 components to mix together. Do not allow water to enter the tube.
Mixing & Application:
✔ Remove the clear packaging only when ready to use Gopoxy Poly Grout. Once exposed to air the material will start to set.
✔ Important: Steep in warm water for 10-15 minutes to soften the material.
✔ Insert the GoPoxy Polyurea tube into the grout gun and attach the mixing nozzle.
✔ Discard the first 40cm of grout to ensure proper mixing.
✔ Apply grout slowly into joints, ensuring complete coverage.
✔ Use GoPoxy finishing tools for a smooth, professional result.
Curing Time:

✔ Surface Drying: 1 hour
✔ Final Curing: Under 8 hours (depending on temperature and conditions)
Important Differences vs. GoPoxy Epoxy Grout
🟡 GoPoxy Epoxy can be stored and reused for later jobs.
🔵 GoPoxy Polyurea MUST be used in one go, without breaks—once exposed to air it will start to set, and it cannot be reused, even with another mixing nozzle.
☀️ GoPoxy Epoxy is not UV-resistant, meaning colours may fade over time.
🌟 GoPoxy Polyurea is fully UV-resistant, keeping light colours fresh and bright.
🔥 Epoxy grout should NOT be steeped in very hot water.
🌡️ Polyurea grout may need to be steeped in warm water before use for easier dispensing.
Storage & Safety Guidelines
✔ Store in a cool, dry place between 8–18°C and away from direct sunlight.
✔ Do not smoke or expose to open flames while using.
✔ Wear gloves, mask and eye protection to prevent irritation.
✔ In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
✔ Dispose of the container according to local regulations.
Additional Recommendations
✔ Not suitable for small/ mosaic tiles due to the increased time and cost of application.
✔ Not recommended for highly porous stone such as sandstone.
✔ Work quickly to avoid solidification in the tube as Polyurea cannot be reused once exposed to air.

Aftercare
For best results, clean tiled areas grouted with GoPoxy using pH-neutral cleaners only. Avoid the use of acid or alkaline cleaning products, as these can damage the grout surface and compromise its finish. Regular gentle cleaning will help maintain the appearance and performance of your grout for years to come.
Health & Safety (PPE Requirements)
This product must be handled and applied using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
As a minimum, we recommend:

Respiratory protection: Suitable mask or respirator where ventilation is limited or fumes may be present

Eye protection: Safety glasses or goggles to prevent contact with eyes

Hand protection: Chemical-resistant gloves (e.g. nitrile)

Skin protection: Suitable workwear to prevent skin contact
Ensure adequate ventilation during use.
Avoid inhalation of vapours and prevent contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest.
Users are responsible for assessing the suitability of PPE based on the specific application and working environment.

Hand protection
Protective gloves (BS EN ISO 374). Observe the manufacturer's instructions regarding the use, storage, maintenance and replacement of gloves. In case of damage or at the first signs of wear and tear, change the gloves immediately. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. The penetration time is determined by the protective glove manufacturer and must be observed.
Skin protection
Choose body protection according to the activity and possible exposure. Cotton protective clothing and shoes that cover the entire foot (BS EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024). Apron (BS EN 14605:2005+A1:2009). Protective work clothing resistant to liquid chemicals (BS EN 14605:2005+A1:2009). At high risk of skin exposure chemical suits (BS EN 13034:2005+A1:2009) and boots may be required (BS EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024).
Respiratory protection
In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory protection. Wear suitable protective breathing mask (BS EN 136) with filter A2-P2 (BS EN 14387). For dust/gas/ vapor concentrations above the applicable filter limit, in case of oxygen concentrations below 17% or in vague conditions, autonomous self-contained breathing apparatus should be used, according to standard BS EN 137, BS EN 138.

Safety & Preparation
Always wear protective gear for your eyes, skin, and hands. Instructions are available in PDF, video, and user guide formats.
- Prep the Area: Ensure tile joints are clean and dry.
- Wax or Tape: Apply priming wax along grout lines. Use tape for textured tiles or trim to avoid sticking.
- Load the Tube: Secure GoPoxy tube and nozzle into the gun.
Application
- Mix First 30cm: Squeeze out the first 30cm to ensure proper mix.
- Temperature Tip: If hard to dispense, warm the tube. If too runny, cool it.
- Work in Sections: Complete in 15-30 minute intervals.
- Fill Joints: Apply slowly and use tools to press grout into the joints.
After Application
- Check & Fix: Adjust grout before it fully cures.
- Remove Excess: When hardened, scrape away extra grout.
- Save Leftovers: Cap unused grout and attach a new nozzle for reuse.

- 0-12°C: 8-12 hours
- 12-24°C: 6-8 hours

First time user, limited experience grouting. Very easy to do once I got the hang of it and lovely finish.
Amazing product, would use again
This is first time using go poxy . I used it on the floor as normal white grout discolours. Easy to use with manual gun but you need to warm up the tubes in hot water I used boiling water is says not to but you get more time to use it . If you are doing large area might be best to get battery gun .
Old Victorian house with tiles that move. This is fantastic stuff to absorb that movement and not have cracked grout!
Used to replace normal grout on gloss tiles so didnt use the wax incase it was hard to get rid of residue. Worked fine with scraper but Im assuming would have been more peelable if I used the wax. If it stays as white as it is I'll be delighted. Only used just over one tube on a 15m² floor with 60x60 tiles

Was skeptical after regrouting 3 times with other grout but it going dirty so quick, this was our last hope before I ripped the tiles up an put an alternative down, as moderate diyers this was relatively easy to do and I’m more hopeful with the texture of this stuff itl do the trick an give the brilliant white results we were looking for! Recommend it to anyone looking for a better alternative to regular cementitious grout !
More suited to a professional with the electric gun for quicker application and on new tiles cured too quickly for me but still a good product.

Like how it’s fast setting
Not for me the application on walls is to fiddly and trying to time the cure well enough to get a good smooth finished is not as simple as they make out. Might be easier on a floor with larger tiles, but on a wall and subway tiles it was a horrible job.

While Gopoxy can work in many tiling applications, we generally don't recommend it for smaller or mosaic tiles because the large number of joints can make application more difficult over bigger areas and significantly increase material use. We do mention this in the product description, but we appreciate that not every customer will see all the details when purchasing. As a first time user i can say it was very simple & easy. No mixing required so more or less mess free. It is expensive compared to normal grout but as my bathroom had no window I wanted something that is more mould resistant so only time will tell if it really is better.

Fantastic product!!! Will definitely be using again and won’t be using powered grout on any future tiling jobs.
Already submitted review on this in the tool kit section. it’s ok but too much faffing around makes the job longer than ordinary grout very messy and very sticky gets on everything Would only use again on large format tiles.
